NFL star and Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis posted a short video to his Facebook page blasting the violence and destruction that is devastating the city he loves- BALTIMORE.

“These young kids got to get off the street- violence isn’t the answer.”

He says in the video that nothing good is done for Freddie Gray by destroying the city. He tells the young rioters to get off the streets and to ‘go home and STAY home!’ He is trying to knock some sense into these misguided thugs.

“You don’t have no right to do what you’re doing to this city! Too many hard working people built this city! We put this city together! We put this city on our back!”

I’m not A Ravens fan but I do admire that Ray is speaking out. More Black leaders need to do the same.

Very powerful message. Violence is NOT the answer nor does it accomplish anything at all. MLK is probably rolling in his grave…
