A Florida restaurateur was shocked to find a note left by a disgruntled customer who was upset about the restaurant’s decision to play Christmas music in the background.

The note on the back of the receipt at Michael’s Tasting Room from a customer read “Christmas music was offensive. Consider playing holiday music or less religious themed.”

The restaurant’s owner, Michael Lugo, said he was surprised that a customer would be upset about the seasonal decision.

Lugo said that though he is Christian he was not trying to force his religion on anyone, adding that it was “scary” that a note like that would be socially acceptable, First Coast News reports.

“It’s all about celebration of family celebration of gathering with friends and people and it’s a tradition. It’s not about a religion it’s not about anything else. I am a Christian but I don’t push that as my agenda I think that Christmas is Christmas.” Lugo said.

Lugo decided to make his response public, on Facebook.  His statement “Really…what’s wrong with people.”

He says he didn’t take to social media to complain. Instead he did it to protect his staff, writing “Thank you all for the support. I’m very comfortable with these situations, but the stress it puts on my staff is unfair. Between social media and review sites I swear they are under constant pressure that someone is going to write something bad about us. People no longer deal face to face, and feel it’s their duty to tell everyone one else how bad you are. The crazy part is no longer is it regarding facts, and now it’s opinions about decor or opinions about Christmas music…what next how we look…oh yeah I’ve seen that too”

Some libs were offended but most were supportive of the music-

Diane Nestler Rainey wroteTo the person that left the note, I would like to say. MERRY CHRISTMAS, JESUS is the Lord and savior, I lift you up in PRAYER to GOD, may GOD bless you and your family. GOD created this world. JESUS IS THE REASON FOR THE SEASON.

Deborah Lee wrote– Christmas, IS a religious holiday after all so I feel Holiday related music would be religious music or are you talking more Santa music which is the commercial part of Christmas but not the real meaning of Christmas…bet it’s the second reason because anybody knowing the real meaning of Christmas would have never made such a statement. MERRY CHRISTMAS AND GOD BLESS.

Tena Lesnett Bosworth wrote– Don’t give in to the “I’m offended” crowd for Christmas or anything else! It’s time we stood up to this nonsense and let people know that’s life and you don’t have a right NOT to be offended so suck it up and be an adult! Besides it’s Christmas for goodness sake – it’s a Christian holiday about the birth of the Savior – Santa is for commercial purposes and if they don’t like it I suggest they don’t celebrate at all. That’s my rant for the day…

I’m with these patriots.

If Christmas music offends you then go somewhere else.

Nobody wants to smell your stinking liberal a*s anyways.

Pound sand scumbags.

God Bless.
