The Olympic Games in Rio have already been plagued with numerous issues in their preparation for the event, and now another major problem has just rocked the event.

A Moroccan boxer by the name of Hassan Saada apparently has a problem keeping his hands to himself, and now he’s sitting in jail as a result. The 22-year-old Light-Heavyweight has been accused by two different chamber maid of sexually assaulting them in his Olympic Village hotel room, according to MailOnline.

After being taken to the Rio Police station close to the Olympic Stadium, Saada was stripped of his competitor status at the Games and has been ordered to spend the next 15 days in jail as police investigate the assaults. According to Rio Police, Saada is accused of attacking the two maids on Tuesday, and they immediately went to authorities to report the alleged assaults.

Apparently, one of them went into his room, and Saada asked her to pose for a selfie with him. He then asked her if she had a social media profile before pushing her up against a wall and trying to force himself on her, the maid claims.

Saada is also accused of assaulting a second woman in the same room. He allegedly groped her breasts and was making sexually-graphic gestures towards her before offering her money to perform sex acts upon him.

“It has been necessary to arrest Hassan Saada to investigate the allegations against him,” Judge Nune Saly said during the hearing. “If he was at liberty there would be a risk that he could interfere with witnesses. And there is a risk that Hassan Saada could reoffend.”

According to Saly, everyone, including the athletes, are required to follow the law in Brazil, and Saada will be punished to the fullest extent of the law.

Saada’s first bout was scheduled for this Saturday, but for obvious reasons he won’t be competing. Believe it or not, he’s one of three Moroccan athletes who had threatened to not even come to the Games as part of a scheme to make more money for competing in them.

It looks like he got his wish after all. Too bad for him, instead of getting a big payday, he’s probably going to leave the jail walking a little bit strange, if you catch my drift.
