BREAKING: RNC Member Drops MAJOR BOMBSHELL About Trump… Cruz Campaign TICKED [VID]

A member of the Republican National Committee appeared on MSNBC on Wednesday, and he delivered a bombshell about Donald Trump’s campaign that is going to have Sen. Ted Cruz’s supporters furious.

Randy Evans was talking delegates on Morning Joe, and said he believes that even if Trump falls short of the coveted 1,237 delegates needed to secure the nomination, he’ll end up getting it anyways.

“If Donald Trump exceeds 1,100 votes, he will become the nominee even though he may not have 1,237,” Evans said.

This is good news for Trump, should other rules committee members share Evans’ sentiment, as Trump and his supporters have both said they believe that the candidate with the most delegates going into the convention should get the nomination.

However, Evans also warned that Trump needs to finish out the primary season strong, or else he faces losing the nod to someone else.

“If he gets less than 1,000 delegates, then I think we’re looking at a contested convention that could go on for many, many days,” Evans said. “And then in the middle, there’s that grey area between 1,000 and 1,100, and that’s where the unbound delegates or the delegates that have been released by other candidates come into play to see if there are enough of those to get either Cruz or Trump over the finish line.”

Thus far, Trump has been able to secure 743 delegates to Cruz’s 545, and current polling shows him having a great month in April. In New York, where the next contest will occur, Trump holds a commanding lead with 60 percent of potential GOP voters supporting him, and all across the Northeast his support remains strong.

He also recently hired veteran strategist Paul Manafort to help him in his delegate effort, which many say might be exactly who he needed to get over the 1,237 threshold. In fact, Manafort himself is predicting that by June 7, Trump will have the required amount of delegates to ensure his nomination at the convention.
