Barry Secrest at We The Vigilant reports that ‘Access Islam’ has been a growing effort, among the progressive left and the US government, to introduce the cult of Islam to millions upon millions of unsuspecting parents and school children, many of whom are not allowed to share their given Christian faith, in any form, while on public school grounds.

The initial phase of the instruction (or indoctrination) involves one of the most basic tenets of Muslimism, that being the five pillars of Islam.

According to the  Access Islam syllabus, “students explore and understand the basic beliefs of Islam as well as the Five Pillars that guide Muslims in their daily life” as follows:

1) belief

2) worship

3) fasting

4) Zakat

5) pilgrimage

Then, in order to better inculcate the learning process, the students are assigned an art project which consists of creating adorable little “posters illustrating the Five Pillars of Islam“ for display throughout the entire school.

Allison Hillman at Teddy Stick reports that the overview of the curriculum tells us that “The foundation of Islamic religious practices is the Five Pillars. These basic duties — belief, worship, fasting, almsgiving, and pilgrimage — guide Muslims in their daily life and their worship of God.” Note the use of “God” instead of “their God” or “a God.”

For grade levels 5-12, the objectives are listed as;

  • Describe the basic beliefs of Islam.
  • Explain the meaning of each of the Five Pillars of Islam.
  • Compare and contrast the Five Pillars of Islam with the duties of other religions with which they are familiar.

Another important point to take away, children will compare and contrast but not because they are being taught about other religions as well. They will only use religions “with which they are familiar.” This leaves a lot of room for liberal teachers to interpret other religions to unknowing and impressionable children.

Each part of the curriculum comes with accompanying videos provided by PBS.Teachers are told how to guide the discussions and the suggested questions avoid any discussion of the “radical” part of Islam. Of course, that means avoiding much of the Quran but obviously, that doesn’t worry anyone.

The end result of the curriculum so even younger students can be taught.

At the end of the lesson plan teachers are told to “have looked more closely at each of the Five Pillars, divide them into pairs. Instruct each pair to create a poster about the Five Pillars to be displayed in the classroom and around the school to help educate their schoolmates about Islam.” The end goal here is to help indoctrinate the whole school of course. Most 5th grade classrooms are in schools with younger children giving teachers a chance to spread the “education.”

This is dangerous. Parents, teachers, and anyone concerned with our future needs to be aware that this is happening and not only in Virginia.

The United States Department of Education has developed an Islamic indoctrination program for public schools called, ‘Access Islam.’

The lesson plans are written for grades 5 through 12. They include worksheets and videos to help students perform the 5 Pillars of Islam – prayer, fasting, alms giving, pilgrimage to Mecca and the proclamation of Muslim faith.

This short video contains excerpted clips taken from the “Access Islam’ program which not only teaches children how to perform a Muslim prayer, but asks students such questions as: ‘What does a Muslim prayer sound like?’ ‘What do the movements look like?’ and ‘What are some of the things Muslims say during prayer?’

Children are also expected to memorize verses from the Quran and give the meaning of those verses.

Taken as a whole, the U.S. Department of Education’s ‘Access Islam’ program is nothing short of a Sunday school class on Islam.

God Bless.
