Most everyone, except perhaps those looney leftists, already believe Democratic New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo to be a scumbag, however, it seems he may be an even bigger scumbag than many originally thought. Cuomo is now being outted as repeatedly ignoring the complaints of a woman regarding a barrage of unwanted and unsolicited sexual advances by one of his appointees.

51-year-old Lisa Marie Cater is alleging in a federal lawsuit filed in New York City on Saturday that William “Sam” Hoyt stalked, groped and kissed her without consent for approximately one year.  Hoyt is the former regional president of the public-benefit corporation Empire State Development Corp. Hoyt got her a job at the Department of Motor Vehicles then leveraged her employment, forcing her to endure manipulation, sexual harassment, and sexual assault.

Cater states she called Cuomo’s office twice to complain about Hoyt’s inappropriate actions towards her and was ignored.  She then emailed an official complaint to the governor’s office as well as messaging Cuomo’s Facebook page, stating she attempted to use every avenue available to her in an effort to speak to Cuomo to make this stop, contacting his office no less than 6 times in total.  She was met with silence and what the complaint describes as “deliberate indifference.”

Cater describes being subjected to a multitude of unwanted kisses, crotch grabbing, stalking, daily calls, emails, and sexts for a year.  She describes being on “the brink of a nervous breakdown” after enduring this for a year.

Cater first met Hoyt at a 2008 Democratic fundraiser when the Democrat from Buffalo was still serving as a state Assemblyman. In fall of 2015, Cater was about to be evicted from her apartment after leaving her husband due to domestic violence. She began reaching out to any and all contacts she had in an effort to secure some sort of assistance.

By this time Hoyt was the local boss for ESDC – a state agency with significant power funneling millions of taxpayer dollars into various economic initiatives.  As result of Cater reaching out to Hoyt for help, he began to email her about apartments and jobs, eventually helping her obtain an apartment and a non-union secretarial job with a $30,000 salary in a predominantly union DMV office in Erie County.

That is when the emails turned into texts and harassing calls and Cater states due to her fears she would lose her job, she endured much of his behavior. After receiving nothing but silence from Cuomo’s office whom she considered to be Hoyt’s boss, Cater sought psychological help, as well as going to the victims’ advocate at the Erie County DA’s office.

At that point unable to ignore her any longer, Cuomo allegedly told Hoyt to “Make this go away” according to the lawsuit.  Hoyt followed orders and Cater was made to “go away” after demanding her silence and paying her $50,000 in hush money. Hoyt’s attorney, Terrence M. Connors states the payout came from Hoyt’s personal account and not state funds. Yet that did not stop Hoyt from continuing to seek Cater out. Amid a state investigation, Hoyt resigned almost a year later, on Oct. 30, 2017.

Hoyt is no stranger to this type of behavior either and this is apparently not the first time he has done this sort of thing seeking out affairs with young students and a variety of other women, some of which is public knowledge now after his resignation. Both Cuomo, who is named as a co-defendant in the suit,  denies any and all allegations.
