Well, I personally have caved after boycotting the NFL for several years after the 49’ers QB Colin Kaepernick started the kneeling and BLM garbage.
The NFL is still woke as hell and the new rules are a bit ridiculous but again- I caved!
That being said, one of the most popular players in the NFL is walking away from the game.
No- it’s NOT Tom Brady- yet!
Cardinals defensive end and longtime NFL star J.J. Watt announced his retirement from the NFL on Twitter, Breitbart reports.
Watt posted a tweet in which he was shown standing while holding his infant son. In the caption, Watt wrote, “Koa’s first ever NFL game. My last ever NFL home game. My heart is filled with nothing but love and gratitude. It’s been an absolute honor and a pleasure.”
“A three-time NFL defensive player of the year, Watt will be a first-ballot Hall of Famer,” Pro Football Talk’s Michael David Smith wrote. “He was the Texans’ first-round draft pick in 2011, the Walter Payton Man of the Year in 2017, a five-time first-team All-Pro, and twice the league leader in sacks.”
Over the last few years, he has been battling injuries, Patriot United News reports.
That along with the birth of his son has surely given him pause for thought regarding continuing to play.
Watt will surely be atop the list of network recruits and possibly even a coaching candidate if he decides to go that route.
