TEXAS — Police and other first responders were on the scene of a shooting at the Parks Mall in Arlington Sunday evening.

The Parks at Arlington shopping center was evacuated Sunday afternoon after an officer-involved shooting, police said.

In a tweet, police advised that anyone at the mall could go to their vehicle and those still inside the mall should follow instructions from first responders, Dallas News reports.

On the police department’s call sheet, a “prohibited weapon” call was listed at 4:15 p.m. at the mall in the 3800 block of South Cooper Street, near Interstate 20.

“Shooting at Parks Mall in Arlington. This is a snap from someone there rn.”

The Arlington police department posted on social media: “Anyone at the Parks Mall is able to go to their vehicle. The incident is under control. The Parks Mall has closed so please avoid the area. Follow instructions from First Responders if inside the mall.” — “We are working an incident at Parks Mall involving an officer-involved shooting. One suspect involved. No suspects outstanding. This is NOT an active shooter incident. It’s related to an offense. @ArlingtonParks Mall is being evacuated by security. Incident under control. “
