BREAKING — Four people were slaughtered by a deranged liberal Friday night at a home in Groton, Massachusetts, authorities said — the first homicides in the small town since 1996.

Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan said police found two women and an elderly man dead inside the home and another woman’s body outside. She said they appeared to have died of blunt force trauma, Fox News reported.

Ryan said the suspect, 22-year-old Orion Krause, will be charged with four counts of murder and arraigned on Monday. It wasn’t known if he is represented by a lawyer. A possible weapon was found, which authorities haven’t identified.

Fox 25 Boston reported that police were first called to Common Street around 6 p.m. for a report of an individual in need of assistance. Investigators went to a different location on Common Street, where they found the bodies.

According to The Lowell Sun, Krause had shown up naked at the back door of neighbor Wagner Alcocer and said he “murdered four people.”

Ryan called the slayings “a situation of tragic family violence.”

According to The Boston Globe, Groton Police Chief Donald Palma Jr. said the slayings were “not a random act,” and the town of about 10,000 residents is safe.

News of Friday’s murders quickly spread, Mass Live reports.

“It’s scary because we live not far from where it happened,” Coleman said. “We were just watching the news the whole time, making sure our kids were going to be safe, the community was going to be safe.”

Knowing the sole suspect was in custody brought some comfort.

“At least we knew that our kids were going to be safe and it wasn’t going to keep happening,” Coleman said.

Despite the circumstances, people were still taking runs and walking dogs on the cool, but sunny, morning, down the roads lined with “yard sale” signs and promotions for the local farmers market.

One man running with headphones down Common Street and up Breakneck Road hadn’t heard about the murders and said it definitely was not what one expects in Groton.

As hungry customers filled the Light and Salt Café Bistro on Main Street for breakfast, owner and lifelong resident Josiah Coleman said he watched the news of the murder with his family Friday night.

“It’s a quiet, family-centered farming community,” he said. “I don’t think anything like this has ever happened.”

There have been no killings in Groton in recent years.

The last homicide in Groton was the 1996 killing of 16-year-old Stephanie Santerre, according to the Lowell Sun.

Groton, a town of stately farmhouses and spacious homes in new subdivisions, is about 40 miles northwest of Boston.

“There is no cause for alarm,” Palma said. “We do believe at this point that the people were all connected and had relationships.”

What in the hell is wrong with these lunatics?

This is pure insanity.
