BREAKING: Snopes Really Wants YOU To Donate CASH After Getting Dealt Massive DEATHBLOW

The notoriously left leaning and suspect source of information known as Snopes – a self-proclaimed “fact-checker” is now undergoing a legal storm causing many Conservatives and right leaning individuals to break out in a happy dance. The site is little better than leftists propaganda masquerading as an objective arbiter of political dispute and contentions.

The site has been involved in a protracted legal battle stemming from some very poor decision making on the part of owner David Mikkelson. According to Proper Media (the opposing party in the lawsuit) and counsel Karl Kronenberger –

  •  Proper Media is not an “outside vendor” because it “is a 50 percent co-owner of Bardav.” Bardav is Snopes parent company.
  • Court documents provide evidence and support claim Mikkelson “has engaged in gross financial, technical, and corporate mismanagement.”
  • Mikkelson “locked out Proper Media from management and control of the company, giving Mr. Mikkelson unfettered access to Bardav’s bank accounts.”
  • Mr. Mikkelson’s GoFundMe page fails to note that his ex-wife and former business partner sold her stake in the company to Proper Media in 2016.

As a result of the lawsuit, Snopes has set up a GoFundMe fundraising page called  “Save Snopes” as of Monday with a goal of raising $500,000.  Scarily enough the left wing propaganda site generated some $83,000 in the first day and has already exceeded its $500,000 goal. Apparently, it pays pretty well to shill for the left.

According to the statement published on the GoFundMe page in part, it reads –

Since our inception, we have always been a self-sustaining site that provides a free service to the online world: we’ve had no sponsors, no outside investors or funding, and no source of revenue other than that provided by online advertising. Unfortunately, we have been cut off from our historic source of advertising income.”

The website claims to be the internet’s oldest and most popular fact-checking site, founded in 1995 by David Mikkelson and Barbara Mikkelson.  Ownership of the company was legally formalized in 2003 with the formation of parent company Bardav Inc (Barbara + David = Bardav). Each of them was considered 50% owner of the company. The couple began divorce proceedings in 2014 which necessitated the liquidation of the marital assets – Snopes and Bardav being part of that.

Just last year, Snopes Co-Founder was accused of embezzling $98,000 in company funds which he promptly spent on “himself and the prostitutes he hired,” according to court documents.
According to Tech Crunch –
In August of 2015, Snopes entered a revenue-share/content and ad management agreement with a company called Proper Media, formed earlier that very year. In early 2016, Proper arranged to buy Barbara’s share of Bardav, replacing her as co-owner of the company. David Mikkelson attempted to kill the contract in spring of 2017 (wouldn’t you?), but Proper resisted, saying the terms of said contract were not fulfilled. In the meantime, it is apparently holding onto the site’s revenue and parts of its infrastructure.
According to Political Mayhem
It appears as though Snopes is “possibly” in violation of at least 4 of the stipulated restrictions. Maybe as concerned citizens everyone should go on over and report this campaign for it’s violations of the site.
