HUNY BADGER AMERICA’S FREEDOM FIGHTERS –

North Korea’s latest test of an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) has shown that Pyongyang is now able to reach the east coast of the continental United States, according to U.S. officials.

It was just months ago that the U.S. government and mainstream media was reporting that North Korea was 4 years out from being able to launch a nuclear ICBM that could hit U.S. soil.  With the world watching, the DPRK has successfully launched ICBM’s that the U.S. government finally admits can hit as far as the east coast, Fox News reports.

David Wright, co-director of the U.S.-based Union of Concerned Scientists, said that based on the current information, the missile “could easily reach the U.S. West Coast and a number of major U.S. cities.”

“Los Angeles, Denver, and Chicago appear to be well within range of this missile, and Boston and New York may be just within range,” Wright said. “Washington, D.C., may be just out of range.”

However, he cautioned that this was dependent on a number of variables, including the size and weight of the warhead that would be carried atop the missile.

Friday’s test also prompted U.S. and South Korean military officials to discuss military response options, with the two countries’ later in the morning conducting a joint live-fire ballistic missile exercise. South Korea’s joint chiefs said the display of firepower showed their capabilities for a “precise strike on the enemy’s leadership,” the South’s Yonhap news agency reported.

In a statement, South Korean Defense Minister Song Young-moo also said the U.S. military would deploy “strategic assets” to the Korean Peninsula in response to the ICBM test.

“South Korea and the U.S. jointly fired surface-to-surface missiles, and will have strategic assets deployed (on the peninsula),” Yonhap quoted Song as saying.

North Korea’s ruling party, issued the threat in a column titled “Heed the Warning of Juche Korea”.(Juche translates as “self reliant”)

“Every minute and every second, the new reality that U.S. mainland is on the knife’s edge of life and death is forcing U.S. administration to wave a white flag and fundamentally change her North Korea policy.  It is not the denuclearization of N. Korea, but the security of U.S. mainland which should be the top priority of Trump administration.  If U.S. still refuses to accept such a realistic demand and doggedly pursue hostile policy against North Korea in order to save face, she will receive unexpected ‘gift packages’ which we will continue to send.”

The U.S. and its allies are prepared to use “rapid, lethal and overwhelming force,” if necessary, against North Korea, the commander of the U.S. Pacific Air Forces warned Saturday night.

The statement from Gen. Terrence J. O’Shaughnessy, U.S. Pacific Air Forces commander, came after the militaries of the U.S., South Korea and Japan spent 10 hours conducting bomber-jet drills over the Korean Peninsula.

God Bless.
