BREAKING NEWS Out Of Texas… Mass Casualties

Dean James AMERICA’S FREEDOM FIGHTERS –

Eight people were shot to death during a football watching party on Sunday night at a home in Plano, Texas, according to law enforcement officials.

Authorities were called to the single family home off Spring Creek Parkway, near Custer Road, about 8 p.m. after gunshots were reported.

A nearby officer responded and heard more gunfire as he arrived.

The unidentified gunman opened fire inside the party, killing seven people.

Plano police spokesman David Tilley said police initially responded to a report of shots fired. When the first officer arrived and went inside the home, the officer confronted the suspected shooter, Fox News reported.

“After he heard the gunshots, he made entry and that’s when he observed several victims inside and then engaged the suspect,” police spokesman David Tilley told DallasNews.com.

The officer opened fire, Tilley said, killing the suspect. Two others were injured in the shooting. Their conditions were not released.

The victims and suspect have not been identified. All of those killed and injured were believed to be adults. They had been watching the Dallas Cowboys when the violence began, neighbors said.

Police also have not determined a motive for the shooting. Additional details were not immediately available.

Tilley said that a shooting of this magnitude was unusual for Plano, especially in such a quiet neighborhood. He could not say whether police had been called to the home before Sunday.

“I’ve been here all my life,” Tilley said. “I’ve never heard of anything like this.”

A neighbor said a friend of one of the homeowners said the violence had been sparked by a domestic dispute, but police have provided no details about the relationships between the victims and the gunman. The couple identified in public records as the homeowners sought a divorce in July, DallasNews reported.

One man approached a neighbor at the scene, asking for the address where the killings happened.

“I’m friends with probably everyone that was in that house,” he said, explaining that there had been a Cowboys watch party there.

Neighbor Lauryn Nichols said she had a friend who’d been in the house and she didn’t know what had happened to the person.

“I’m worried,” she said. “It’s like one big family here.”

Another neighbor, Stacey Glover,  said the  party had started early in the afternoon and she’d seen people laughing and grilling outside.

She heard shots about 8 p.m., opened her door and smelled gunpowder. When police arrived, she heard them yelling, “Hands up” before more shots rang out.

More than three dozen police vehicles were still at the home hours later. The Texas Rangers were also investigating the shootings because an officer had been involved.

Police said they executed a search warrant of the home and were processing the crime scene Monday morning.

A police investigation is ongoing.

God Bless.
