Trump ARRESTED This Top Official BEFORE Meeting His PRESIDENT

Swamp Draining: US Attorney Makes Major Arrest Of Terrorist Financiers

If geo-politics is a game of chess, President Trump is well on his way to becoming a grandmaster.

Just days before Secretary of State Rex Tillerson is set to meet with Turkish counterparts abroad, a major arrest has been made in the United States that will certainly shake up the conversation in Ankara.

“Acting US Atty Kim: As alleged, Mehmet Hakan Atilla participated in a years-long scheme to violate US sanctions laws by helping Reza Zarrab”

“United States sanctions are not mere requests or suggestions; they are the law”

“Atilla & Zarrab allegedly created & used fraudulent docs to disguise prohibited Iranian financial transactions”

The person in question is someone you probably haven’t heard of before but he’s going to be on your radar in the coming days, we promise.

His name is Mehmet Hakan Atilla and he is accused of laundering tens of millions of dollars through Turkish financial systems and into the Iranian regime.

The earliest indicators are that he has been working with another Turkish national named Reza Zarrab who is currently being investigated for similar charges.

This article will only focus on Mehmet but our research team is looking into Reza at the moment and there’s a tough story developing on that front as well.  We just don’t know how to break it to you yet.

Back to the topic at hand.  Mehmet is a senior executive at one of the largest banks in Turkey but it’s not like the banks we have here–his bank is nationalized.  Essentially, Mehmet is a bureaucrat and that complicates things diplomatically.

Turkey has been an ally of ours by virtue of their NATO membership and that’s something that is a bit of a risk for the continued survival of that partnership since the alliance ensures that member states come to the aid of one another in the case of a war.  Two years ago, Turkey shot down a Russian plane and the world thought we were on the brink of another war.  This year, a Russian diplomat was assassinated in a Turkish art gallery and again the world gasped.

Even in the best of times, Turkey is more of a liability than an asset.  They fund terrorists and openly sell oil to ISIS while playing dumb about both well-documented actions.

Later this week, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson will be traveling to the Turkish capital under the auspices of discussing Syria with President Erdogan.  It would be hard to imagine that this recent arrest isn’t part of their conversation and it only takes a bit of musing to see how it might leverage the Turkish regime into behaving like a good boy should.
