BREAKING: President Trump ATTACKED… Here’s What We Know

“Melania and I are full of joy at the start of this very blessed season,” Trump said, “the celebration of the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.” ~ President Trump

The First Family will celebrate their first Christmas in the White House with a nod to tradition. This year’s theme, “Time-Honored Traditions” was designed by First Lady Melania Trump to pay respect to 200 years of holiday traditions at the White House.

“The President, Barron, and I are very excited for our first Christmas in the White House,” said First Lady Melania Trump. “As with many families across the country, holiday traditions are very important to us. I hope when visiting the People’s House this year, visitors will get a sense of being home for the holidays. On behalf of my husband and Barron, I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and joyous holiday season.” ~ First Lady Melania Trump

President Trump lit the National Christmas Tree for the first time alongside Melania and thousands of revelers.

“As president of the United States it’s my tremendous honor to finally wish America and the world a very merry Christmas,” he said.

Trump counted down from 10 while Melania pushed a button that lit up the national tree with silver and gold stars.

It’s a tradition that dates back nearly a century and started with President Calvin Coolidge in 1923.

“From the earliest days of our nation Americans have known Christmas is a time for prayer and worship, for gratitude and good will, for peace and renewal,” President Trump said.

Thursday’s celebration featured a number of musical performances, singing, and dancing. However, President Trump reminded the nation that Jesus is the real reason for the season.

“For Christians, this is a holy season, a celebration of the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,” he said.

“The Christmas story began 2,000 years ago with a mother, a father, their baby son, and the most extraordinary gift of all  –  the gift of God’s love for all of humanity,” he continued. “Whatever our belief, we know that the birth of Jesus Christ and the story of this incredible life forever changed the course of human history. There is hardly an aspect of our life today that his life has not touched  – art, music, culture, law, and our respect for the sacred dignity of every person everywhere in the world.”

He explained that Christmas isn’t about presents, but celebrating our unique identity.

“Each and every year at Christmas time we recognize that the real spirit of Christmas is not what we have, it’s about who we are. Each one of us is a child of God. That is the true source of joy this time of year,” President Trump said. “That is what we remember during today’s beautiful ceremony. That we are called to serve one another, to love one another, and to pursue peace in our hearts and all throughout the world.”

President Trump ended by asking God for his blessings.

“This Christmas we ask for God’s blessings for our family and for our nation.”

BREITBART Washington Post columnist Petula Dvorak, however, is protecting the legacy of former President Barack Obama, whom she writes was not a Grinch when it comes to wishing “Merry Christmas” and celebrating the holy day.

Dvorak claims conservatives have trumped up “the tiresome and ridiculous ‘war on Christmas’ narrative every time Trump ‘needed a quick cheer,’” Not to be confused with the “war on women” narrative the left streams out whenever Planned Parenthood is embroiled in yet another scandal.

“There is no war on Christmas,” Dvorak asserts, adding, however, that there is a war on Jews and Muslims, “fueled by our commander in chief.”

Interestingly, as the Christian celebration of Christmas approaches, Dvorak fails to mention the genocide of Christians around the world under radical Islamic terrorists, and the rise of anti-Christian sentiment and secularization in the United States that came to a peak during the Obama era.

It is astonishing how the democrats, lefties and the rest of the delusional clowns refuse to see the utter destruction and chaos that Obama has done to this nation.

We all remember how the Obama administration ushered in the, “PC America” where you cannot say anything that might offend a minority, illegal alien, muslim, Black Lives Matter and the rest of the clown town regime.

Christmas is not about what you get as a present, but rather what you give to another.  No, not as a store bought gift, but as love and compassion.

It is about spending time with those we love and care about, helping each other forget about the chaos and insanity of the world and reminiscing about past Christmas’s and sharing childhood memories.

The religious war that is over Christmas needs to end, people can choose out of their own free agency on what they believe Christmas means to them and their families.

Have a wonderful Holiday season and a very Merry Christmas, to you and yours!
