After Trump Saves Over A THOUSAND Jobs, Video Of Obama Telling Carrier Employee THIS Emerges

President-elect Donald Trump has criticized American companies for shutting down their plants and moving their production and jobs to other countries. Trump went as far as to say he will negotiate with these companies to try and get them to stay here in America. And if they don’t- he will tax the hell out of the products they send into our country!

Trump has criticized Carrier for moving to Mexico to build their air conditioners. He has successfully negotiated with the company who have agreed to remain in the U.S.A. which saves 1000 jobs. He’s not even president yet.

But flash back to what Obama said about Trump’s ability to keep Carrier in America.

Jack Davis at Western Journalism reports that back in June, President Barack Obama derided President-elect Donald Trump’s ability to do anything for the Carrier Corp. employees who were slated to lose their jobs. In the wake of Carrier announcing it would shift production from Indiana to Mexico, the president indicated that jobs leaving Indiana were part of a trend that could not be reversed.

Trump’s comments about Carrier were rebutted by Obama during a June 1 town hall in Indianapolis, during which Carrier employee Eric Cottonham asked Obama, “what can we look forward to in the future as far as jobs, employment, whatever? Because all of our jobs have left or in the process of leaving, sir.”

Obama offered a contradiction, first noting that under his administration, “we’ve seen more manufacturing jobs created since I’ve been president than anytime since the 1990s. He then added, “even though we’re making the same amount of stuff in our manufacturing sector, we’re employing fewer people.”

Obama said, “But for those folks who have lost their job right now because a plant went down the Mexico, that isn’t going to make you feel better.  And so what we have to do is to make sure that folks are trained for the jobs that are coming in now because some of those jobs of the past are just not going to come back, and when somebody says, like the person you just mentioned who I’m not going to advertise for, that he’s going to bring all these jobs back, well how exactly are you going to do that?  What are you going to do?”

“There’s… there’s no answer to it.  He just says, ‘Well, I’m going to negotiate a better deal.’  Well, how… what… how exactly are you going to negotiate that?  What magic wand do you have?  And usually, the answer is he doesn’t have an answer.

Obama later told the audience they would have to learn to live with the loss.

“But  you cannot look backwards, and that doesn’t make folks feel good sometimes, especially if it’s a town that was reliant on a couple of big manufacturers,” he said. “But they’re going to have to retrain for the jobs of the future, not the jobs of the past.”

On Thursday, Trump and Vice president-elect Mike Pence were scheduled to join Carrier officials in announcing that most of the nearly 1,000 jobs scheduled to be lost will remain in Indianapolis.

Obama is a loser.

Trump is a winner.

God Bless.

Nice to see Obama go. His policy: “Oh well, what can we do?”

  2. Michael Moore says:

The Wall Street Journal just noted that Trump in saying he “saved 1,100 jobs,” neglected to detail how 300 of those were never slated to be sent to Mexico … wait, Trump deceiving and not telling the truth, say it ain’t so! Further, Carrier will still be sending 1,300 jobs to Mexico by the end of 2017 and thus 1,300 Americans are losing their jobs based upon Trump’s great negotiation skills – NOT!

Further, the taxpayers of Indiana will be paying Carrier $8,750 per job saved per year, meaning $7 million per year and a total of $70 million dollars for the 10 years of the agreement. All of this money will be coming out of the taxpayers of Indiana’s pockets.

Thus when Trump campaigned in front of the US Capitol saying, “We will have so much winning if I get elected that you may get bored with the winning,” he meant he would “win” for 800 employees and “lose” for 1,300? Man, with those kinds of odds, we will lose 10’s of thousands of jobs by the end of his 4 years!
