Obama and his worthless cronies had a “pen and a phone.” Guess what? Trump’s compatriots do too.

The new administration is wasting no time in rolling back the measures put in place by the last administration. In many cases, the departments under Obama were going far beyond the traditional scope of their powers–some might argue they were even abusing their regulatory mission to suit his agenda.

That’s all changing now though.  In one such dismantling of the old regime, Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke has made changes to the types of ammunition and fishing equipment allowed to be used on federal lands.  For many huntsmen this will be relieving news.  Previously, the Obama administration had put a stop on all lead bullets and fishing tackles despite protest from the NRA.  Under the policy set forth by Zinke, that’s old news.

Further, the EPA is now planning on revoke an Obama-era mandate on car manufacturers.  The big-eared progressive demanded that trucks and cars meet particular gas mileage requirements that increased by year through 2025.  This sort of regulation is the type of job-killing mandate that only a community organizer would support.  In essence it drove up the cost of production and the cost the consumer had to pay.  Good riddance!

Trump Understands That Deregulation Will Create Jobs

The Executive Branch is reportedly working alongside the Congressional leadership which is moving to remove certain elements legislatively.  For every new regulation or legislation signed into law by Trump, he promises to repeal or revoke two regulations that damage the economy. Deregulation is what the country needs most right now if we are going to compete with countries like China.

For those that are worried about the cost of energy, worry no more.  The EPA has overturned a number of emissions rules that were stifling the production of cheap energy and forcing Americans to depend on foreign sources.  Further, Secretary Zinke has ceased the Interior Department’s moratorium on coal leases so the hills and hollows of West Virginia will soon be alive and kicking again.

Congress is hoping that the new administration will consider the problematic nature of these regulatory bodies that he now controls.  Is it really right for them to pass regulations that more or less amount to legislation?  Probably not, at least if you’re thinking carefully.  These agencies will one day run amok under the not-so-careful guidance of another liberal.  That’s the reality we face.  It’s on us to rein them in while we have the chance and Donald J. Trump is just the president to do that.
