Trump Walks Into 9/11 Memorial Museum… Curator’s Jaw Drops at ‘Item’ Trump Left Behind

While campaigning in New York City, GOP front-runner Donald Trump decided to take a trip to the 9/11 Memorial Museum, and the curators were stunned at what he decided to leave behind.

Trump and his wife, Melania, visited the museum on Saturday and not only used the opportunity to take a swipe at Sen. Ted. Cruz’s comment about “New York values,” but show his own generosity to the museum and its curators. How did he do so? With a massive donation – $100,000 to be exact.

According to the New York Post, the Trumps were escorted around the museum by President and CEO Joe Daniels, and later released a campaign statement about the event that took aim at Sen. Cruz.

“Mr. and Mrs. Trump were proud to pay their respects at the 9/11 Memorial Museum today in downtown Manhattan. They were given a tour by museum President and CEO Joe Daniels, along with other museum officials and representatives of the NYPD and PAPD,” a campaign statement read.

“They were incredibly impressed with the museum, a monument representative of all of the wonderful people who tragically lost their lives and the families who have suffered so greatly. It is also symbolic of the strength of our country, and in particular New Yorkers, who have done such an incredible job rebuilding that devastated section of our city.

“This is what ‘New York values’ are really all about,” the statement added, an obvious slap at Cruz.

That statement has come back to haunt Cru in a major way. Conservative commentator Charles Krauthammer said it was a gaffe with “a long fuse,” and he was right.

Recent polling in New York, where Trump was born and raised, has the billionaire well over 50 percent with Gov. John Kasich in second and Cruz in a distant third with a paltry 15 percent. Should Trump be able to garner over 50 percent of the votes in next Tuesday’s primaries, he’ll likely end up getting all of the state’s 95 delegates, which would be a massive momentum builder.
