Unmasking Antifa – Who is REALLY Behind the Events in NOLA, Durham, Charlottesville and Various Other Cities Across America

A vague and dangerous ideology has emerged across the nation in the last year, smashing storefronts and setting things on fire.  This ideology has taken hold in some groups and been given a name – “Antifa,” for “anti-fascist.”

This is not a new phenomenon but surfaced originally during the Occupy movement and even before that harkening back to the so-called “Brown Shirts” and now they have emerged as a militant fringe of #TheResistance against Donald Trump.

According to these individuals, Donald Trump is a  fascist, ushering into power a fascist regime chanting “No Trump! No KKK! No fascist USA!” and claiming they will “Smash White Supremacy!”

In their efforts to “smash white supremacy” this group has attacked the very fabric of America by attacking her history.  They have fixated on a time when America was divided over slavery and racial inequities. Racism has existed since the beginning of time.  Throughout history one group has subjugated another but as a result of the race baiting that happened throughout the eight years of the Obama presidency years of work towards equity and harmony disappeared.  Old angers and hurts surfaced over injustices either perceived or actual, and there were many legitimate gripes.  Groups like Antifa and Black Lives Matter have exploited these feelings of injustice and have now begun attacking our history, American history and the history of Confederacy.  It began to gather traction after a white man named Dylan Roof, shot and killed 9 black people in a church and it kicked into high gear the call for the removal of the monuments drew the nation’s attention to New Orleans.

So what connects these people? Antifa members – no one knows who they are, who they are affiliated with, or where they come from.  Or do they? Let’s take a trip back to New Orleans…

Antifa showed up in New Orleans at the Jefferson Davis Memorial.  A lot of them were wearing the same shirt and it turns out there was a reason.  There was a rally earlier that day in New Orleans…

“On Monday, May 1, 2017, over a thousand New Orleans workers—including members of NOWCRJ’s Congress of Day Laborers and Stand with Dignity—will march together with faith, labor, and community allies to demand an end to the politics of xenophobia, hate, and mass incarceration in Louisiana and nationwide.

Marchers will demand Louisiana legislators oppose a pair of anti-immigrant bills in the state legislature—HB 676 and HB 525—which seek to further criminalize immigrant reconstruction workers and family members for political gain, and that legislators support the original Justice Reinvestment Task Force criminal justice reform legislative package on May 2 to restore Louisiana’s dignity, public safety, and tax base.

The march is part of Monday’s national Day Without Immigrants and the Beyond the Moment May Day strike, which are expected to involve hundreds of thousands of people in public actions protesting the politics of racism, xenophobia, islamophobia, hatred, and mass incarceration.”

And here is a man with Antifa arrested at the monument of Jefferson Davis in New Orleans in his shirt that proclaims him to be a part of this rally –

Now let’s fast forward to Durham, North Carolina to the woman arrested for unlawfully dismantling a Confederate monument….except it wasn’t. The monument was erected to champion unity. not to venerate the Confederacy, but I digress….
Her name is Takiya Thompson and she is a member of what is known as the Worker’s World Party.  The WWP describes itself as a party that has, since its founding, “supported the struggles of all oppressed peoples”. It supports affirmative action as necessary in the fight for equality. The WWP also claims to oppose all forms of racism and religious bigotry. WWP and its affiliated groups Youth Against War and Fascism (YAWF) consistently align themselves with and defend the Black Panthers, the Weather Underground, Black Lives Matter and other left extremist groups. They are also an advocate for gay and trans rights. The WWP has published Workers World newspaper since 1959, and it has been a weekly since 1974.

According to the New York Post

“Takiya Thompson, 22, has been charged with disorderly conduct by injury to a statue, damage to real property, participation in a riot with property damage in excess of $1,500 — and inciting others to riot where there is property damage in excess of $1,500, according to the Durham County Sheriff’s Office.

The last two offenses are Class H and Class F felonies, carrying a sentence of up to 25 months and 41 months behind bars, respectively.

Deputies took Thompson, a member of the far-left Workers World Party and a student at N.C. Central University, into custody Tuesday shortly after she appeared at a press conference with other protesters.”

According to Workers World, the publication for the Workers World Party –

“Takiyah Thompson, a student at N.C. Central University and a member of WW Durham, with support from an eager crowd, climbed a ladder and tied a rope around the statue, prompting anti-racist fighters to topple the statue. The crowd erupted in revolutionary fervor and refused to be intimidated by white supremacists, police or politicians.”

There seems to be a common denominator here…it seems the connection is an affiliation with the WWP and various subsidiaries and satellite groups. The Durham Solidarity Center set up a bail fund for Thompson.

“Takiyah Thompson, the freedom fighter who climbed the Confederate statue, was arrested this afternoon following a press conference in Durham and released after a few hours, facing a hearing tomorrow morning for two felony charges of “inciting a riot” and three misdemeanor charges of “vandalism.” Thompson’s supporters are asking the public to call the District Attorney’s office to drop charges against Thompson and all protesters: 919-808-3010 (office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.) and to donate at Durhamsolidaritycenter.org/bondfund to a bail fund.”

The group is demanding that the charges against Thompson be dropped and gathering protesters at the Durham County Courthouse. Thompson believes she performed some fashion of public service in removing the historical monument, stating  “The statue is where it belongs—it needs to be in the garbage. Every Confederate statue and every vestige of white supremacy has to go.”

Takiyah Thompson is pictured here with the 5th Triangle People’s Assembly, yet another affiliate of the Worker’s World Party.  Now let’s go to Charlottesville….same group, same song, same dance….

“When racists and fascists descend Aug. 12 on Charlottesville, Va., for a “Unite the Right” rally, they will be met with an outpouring of resistance by people of conscience from Virginia, the South and other regions. Workers World Party will be there, along with Black Lives Matter and other anti-racist, anti-cop activists, to give a resounding thumbs-down to ultra-rightists emboldened under Trump to ramp up terror against the oppressed.”

Greg Butterfield advocates for Thompson demanding that charges be dropped on on a Facebook page for a group called International Action Center. Butterfield is another member of the WWP describing himself as a “Communist, anti-imperialist, contributing editor of Workers.org, activist parent” He openly advocates for convicted terrorists, insurrection, and the rights of minorities, yet he himself is a white male.

These people are organized and all over.  They are not as weak and impotent as they would like many Americans to believe. Their attack strategy comes in three phases. The Red – initiate attacks. Yellow – do not initiate but swarm in groups on whatever the Red’s target is all so red can escape. Then there is the Green.  These are the newbies and/or paid actors who have no clue what to do.  The Green is what is presented as Antifa.  That is their strategy so people will be unprepared for what they are up against.

The WWP declared Charlottesville a “victory” but promised more violence is on the horizon.  These are today’s Bolsheviks and they believe this is their revolution. This is literally only the beginning unless we stand up and stamp out this poison, and utterly eradicate it from existence. The WWP reported of the events in Charlottesville –

“First, the media manipulation and financial maneuvering by a significant far-rightwing section of the billionaire class to get one of their own into the White House has emboldened the most racist, anti-immigrant, anti-Muslim, anti-Semitic, misogynist, male-supremacist, murderous scum of this decaying capitalist society.

Second, the progressive movement that has grown in defense of the rights of workers, oppressed Black, Latinx and Native communities, women, LGBTQ people and immigrants refuses to be cowed by these heavily armed thugs. Those protesting the Nazis and KKK fought back with incredible valor in Charlottesville.

And third, the police and other repressive forces of this capitalist “democracy” are no protection against the ultra-right. Indeed, they allowed the gun- and club-toting bigots to hold a Nazi and Klan-type “torchlight” parade through the city — something that would have been unthinkable just a few years ago. The progressive movement needs to continue to be self-reliant, combative and united.

The fascists were almost exclusively white men. The counter-protesters represented a united front in action of a broad spectrum of people, predominantly young, from every demographic in this country. It was an inspiring glimpse of the kind of unity and solidarity that is needed to overcome the bigots and the plutocrats, end the daily violence against the oppressed, and bring about revolutionary social change.”

The video is from the check in for members of the WWP to talk about the events of Charlottesville. Some of the speakers were in Charlottesville.  Thompson called in and another speaker was from a group called NYC Shut it Down.  He was also with them in Charlottesville. NYC Shut it Down wants to open all prisons and release every single prisoner.  Violent felons, rapists, murderers, pedophiles out among the general populace if these folks get their wish. They want to “Abolish the Police! Abolish the Prisons! Liberate your Hood!”

“The powers that be will crumble under the power of organized people!” “Down with all statues of the Confederacy! Down with white supremacy!” they chant in the meeting.

Yet another white male that claims to be an advocate for Black Workers for Justice was arrested present in Durham and arrested in connection to the toppling of the Confederate monument is Dante Strobino. He speaks of racist police and state terror.   Strobino lists himself as a field organizer for United Electrical Radio and Machine Workers of America.

Loan Tran was also arrested for his part in tearing down this historical monument. Tran describes herself as “a queer, bilingual writer and educator of color based Durham, NC. Tran has worked on issues of migrant justice, LGBTQ liberation, economic and racial justice and for an end to all interpersonal violence. While in High school, they co-managed the “Drop the i-word” Campaign in Charlotte, NC to challenge media representation of undocumented immigrants and organized as a part of the March On Wall Street South Coalition that mobilized thousands to protest corrupt politics and corporate greed.” Her Facebook page identifies her under the name El Tee. Tran works with the youth arm of the WWP.

Both Stobino and Tran along with many others joined a massive movement to turn themselves in at the Durham County Courthouse, demanding charges be dropped against Thomson stating, “Mass turn-in at the jail this morning, demanding that the charges be dropped! If you target some for tearing down white supremacy, arrest us all!#DefendDurham #SmashWhiteSupremacy#DefendCville
