BREAKING NEWS Out Of Virginia And North Carolina- Massive FBI Investigation Underway

Ashanti Billie’s body was found Friday morning behind a North Carolina church  (FBI)

The body of a Virginia teenage girl who has been missing for a month has been found behind a North Carolina church, Federal Investigators have announced.

“It is with deep regret that I inform the community that Ashanti Billie has been located, deceased, in Charlotte, North Carolina,” said Martin Culbreth, Special Agent in Charge of the Norfolk Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. “I, along with the entire investigative team, offer our most sincere condolences to the Billie family, especially Ashanti’s parents Brandy and Tony. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.”

The young girl’s name is Ashanti Billie, 19, and she was reported missing Sept. 18 after she failed to show up for work at a sandwich shop on the Navy’s Joint Expeditionary Base — Little Creek in Norfolk, Va.

Video released by the FBI earlier this week showed Billie driving her car onto the base, Fox News reported. Her car was later seen leaving the base, but it was not clear who was driving the automobile.

Investigators revealed that Billie’s cell phone was discovered in a trash bin near the Naval base. Her abandoned car was located at a nearby beach.

Billie’s decomposed body was discovered rotting behind the East Stonewall AME Zion Church in Charlotte. Authorities say that a man who was mowing the grass at the church smelled a putrid odor and discovered the remains when he went to find out where the stench was coming from.

Billie worked at a Blimpie sandwich shop on a navy base in Norfolk, Va., where she was last seen driving her car the day she went missing, The Virginian-Pilot reported. Her car was found last Saturday in a neighborhood a few miles from the base, the newspaper reported.

Brandy Billie, Ashanti Billie’s mother, addressed media Saturday and thanked everyone who helped search for her daughter, while also condemning her daughter’s killer, The Charlotte Observer reported.

“To the person or persons that decided that they wanted to take our baby away from us, away from everyone who loved her, you are a coward,” Ashanti’s mother, Brandy Billie, told reporters. “You don’t deserve to breathe the air that she breathed.”

Martin Culbreth, of the Norfolk FBI, said the focus of the investigation now shifts toward finding a suspect in the case.

“Now our mission is to bring justice for Ashanti, and we will be relentless in our efforts to find who did this to her,” Culbreth said in a statement. “We will not rest until the person who robbed Ashanti of her life, her promise and her future is held fully accountable under the law.”

There was a $20,000 reward from the FBI and Blimpie for information that would lead to finding Billie.

Authorities have not released a cause of death or if they know how the teen ended up in North Carolina. The matter is being investigated by the FBI offices in Norfolk and Charlotte, Norfolk Police, Virginia Beach Police, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police, and the Naval Criminal Investigative Service.

Terrible and so tragic.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family and friends.

Let’s hope that the police catch the maniac/maniacs who killed this young girl and put him/them to death.

God Bless you young lady…
