The White House is on lockdown. Secret Service agents have their weapons drawn. The White House has been evacuated but some members of the press and others are barricaded in the Press Briefing room with the doors locked.
Witnesses say Secret Service agents ran through the building yelling for everyone to get out.
Snipers took to the White House roof with guns drawn as people were cleared off the streets. Some people were heard screaming on Pennsylvania Avenue.

It’s being reported that Barack Obama is not at the White House but is actually golfing at Andrews Air Force base.
There are reports of one person dead and one in custody.
The FBI Capitol Response team is on the scene.
