The Clinton campaign, via the Washington Post released audio on Friday of Donald Trump talking about hitting on a woman in 2005.

Trump issued a video late Friday saying that the comments “don’t reflect who I am. I said it, I was wrong, and I apologize.”

I’ve never said I’m a perfect person, nor pretended to be someone that I’m not. I’ve said and done things I regret, and the words released today on this more than a decade-old video are one of them. Anyone who knows me knows these words don’t reflect who I am,” Trump said.

Nonetheless, top Republicans are asking Trump to drop out of the race.

Sen. Mike Lee, who is reportedly on Trump’s shortlist of people he would consider appointing to the Supreme Court said that it was “time for him to step aside so we can focus on the winning ideas that will carry Republicans through to a victory in November.”

Suck rocks scumbag.

Speaker Paul Ryan said he is ‘sickened’ by Trumps comments and refused to attend Wisconsin event with the GOP nominee.

Other conservative leaders, like Ralph Reed—one of the top evangelicals in America, are standing by Trump.

Reed, now with the Faith and Freedom Coalition, managed to shock the media with his decision to stand behind the Republican nominee, telling CNN’s Ashley Killough that he thought the tape was distracting from the real issues that Christian voters care about.

“I’ve listened to the tape, my view is that people of faith are voting for president on issues like who will defend and protect unborn life, defund Planned Parenthood, grow the economy and create jobs, and oppose the Iran nuclear deal,” Reed said in a statement.

“I think a 10-year-old tape of a private conversation with (a) TV talk show host ranks pretty low on their hierarchy of their concerns.”

 

Amazingly, the same members of the GOP and the mainstream media admonish Trump for his remarks, yet none of them want or care to hold Clinton accountable for anything.
