President Trump had a cryptic message for the White House pool reporters Thursday night during a photo op with military leaders.

“You guys know what this represents?” Trump asked reporters as he pointed around the room. “It’s the calm before the storm.”

“We have the world’s greatest military people,” he added.

Trump’s comments came after a meeting with senior military leaders while he and first lady Melania Trump posed for a photo with the officials and their spouses.

Reporters asked the president what he meant, but Trump did not clarify his comments, saying only, “You’ll find out.”

Trump spoke more generally about national security issues facing the U.S. before the briefing.

“Recently, we have had challenges that we really should have taken care of a long time ago, like North Korea, Iran, Afghanistan, ISIS, and the revisionist powers that threaten our interests all around the world,” he said before the meeting.

“Trump once again says “you’ll find out” when asked about what he meant by his “calm before the storm” comments.”

Here’s the full statement Trump had with reporters, according to The Hill‘s report.

“Tell us when you’re ready,” POTUS told the photographer. “Be careful, don’t push.”

“Our faces are tired,” one of the spouses joked.

A couple of seconds later, POTUS pointed around the room and asked members of the pool, “You guys know what this represents?”

“Tell us,” one reporter responded.

“Maybe it’s the calm before the storm,” POTUS replied.

“What’s the storm?” another reporter asked. “On Iran? On ISIS? On what?”

“We have the world’s great military people,” POTUS replied. “Thank you all for coming.”

Kristen Welker of NBC News asked, “What storm, Mr. President?”

“You’ll find out,” POTUS replied.

“Give us a hint on your Iran decision,” another reporter asked.

POTUS said, “Thank you, everybody,” and pool was ushered out of the room.

President Trump is expected to announce next week that he will “decertify” the international nuclear deal with Iran, saying it is not in the national interest of the United States and kicking the issue to a reluctant Congress, people briefed on the White House strategy said Thursday.

Trump is expected to deliver a speech, tentatively scheduled for Oct. 12, laying out a larger strategy for confronting the nation he blames for terrorism and instability throughout the Middle East.

“The administration looks forward to sharing details of our Iran strategy at the appropriate time,” said Michael Anton, spokesman for the White House National Security Council.

The fate of the nuclear pact is only one consideration in that larger strategy, U.S. officials said.

Trump said last month that he had decided what to do on Iran but that he would not divulge the decision at that time.

Welcoming military leaders to a White House dinner Thursday night, Trump said Iran had not lived up to its end of the nuclear bargain.

“The Iranian regime supports terrorism and exports violence, bloodshed and chaos across the Middle East,” he said. “That is why we must put an end to Iran’s continued aggression and nuclear ambitions. They have not lived up to the spirit of their agreement.”

It is clear that President Trump has sent out a warning to the American people, could a conflict be on the Horizon with Iran?

Iran and North Korea have expressed that they want to see America burn and both nations are constructing ICBM’s with nuclear warheads.

Sanctions and words have failed and failed bad, so it appears that POTUS Trump may have finally had enough and is ready to lace up.

President Donald J. Trump met yesterday with the United States’ senior defense and military leaders to review progress in protecting the homeland, advancing American prosperity, pursuing peace through strength, and promoting positive American influence abroad.

The President also relayed his national security priorities and how the Department of Defense can continue to advance them.

The President commended the defense and military leaders for their efforts in defeating the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, pursuing a much more aggressive campaign in Afghanistan, defending against the North Korean threat, countering Iran, and assisting with relief efforts during this unprecedented hurricane season.

Finally, President Trump conveyed his utmost appreciation for those Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines and Coast Guardsmen serving in harm’s way in defense of the Nation.

Following the meeting, the President and First Lady hosted a dinner with the leaders and their spouses, during which they discussed the many challenges faced by military families.
