Ilhan Omar Demands Federal Seizure Of All Means Of Production And Healthcare Like A Good Marxist Because ‘Muh Coronavirus’

(TNS) There are virtually no political or ideological differences anymore between Communists, Marxists, and Democrats as evidenced by members of the party.

As the coronavirus outbreak made its way across the United States, President Donald Trump was being urged by Democrats to “nationalize” all industries related to the production of vital healthcare equipment under the authority of the Defense Production Act.

And while the president certainly did invoke it, he has utilized that authority lightly — mostly to remind 3M they can’t be exporting masks, gloves, and other personal protective equipment to foreign customers at a time when Americans need those products.

But this isn’t enough for most Democrats including one of the newest Marxist/Communists in Congress: Ilhan Omar of Minnesota.

No, she’s demanding that the federal government seize all production and while we’re at it, all control over healthcare as well, though thanks to government decisions on the state and local level, healthcare delivery is collapsing even as we deal with a pandemic.

The Blaze notes:

Far-left Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) issued a rallying cry to her fellow socialists on Friday, declaring that America’s time of crisis amid the coronavirus pandemic shows “the time to nationalize healthcare and the supply chain is now.”

“Big corporations may not want to produce necessary items because it’s not profitable for them,” she said in a video posted on social media, arguing that “profits are always placed above people.”

“We, as a federal government, we have the proper tools to deploy,” Omar continued. “And it’s deplorable, really, and unconscionable that every single tool that we have is not being deployed right now.”

She added: “It is important for us to nationalize the supply chain. It’s important for us to take action in nationalizing our health care system.”

Moronic. First of all, thanks to government, hospitals — especially those in rural areas — are dying right now because they are located in parts of the country where there is barely any sign of coronavirus. The ‘one-size-fits-all’ big government approach is directly responsible for these financial hardships.

Secondly, ‘nationalizing production’ hasn’t worked ever in the history of nationalizing production. It failed in the Soviet Union, it failed in Cuba, it’s failing in Venezuela. The vast majority of people living under such regimes barely get by, but do you know does okay? Government officials and ‘representatives of the people’ like Omar.

The fact is, the private sector is suffering right now because of government decisions based on faulty modeling and bad advice. Were more U.S. states like Sweden, they’d have an economy right now and most of their citizens would be working.

You know who knows how to make things? Capitalists who built businesses on models with a proven track record of success.

You know who destroys economies? Communists and Marxists and Democrats who have never built anything in their lives and have no idea how concepts like commerce and markets and industries operate. Supply-and-demand means nothing to them. Just because the government owns a factory doesn’t make that factory efficient or even necessary. If there are no profits, there is no interest in making something better, stronger, faster, better, etc.

Only Commies can’t figure that out or accept it.

If there has been any good to come out of the coronavirus pandemic, it has been this: We now know that the Democrat Party has completed its transition into something anti-American and antithetical to our founding. We need to ensure they never govern nationally again.
