John Kevin Wood says his daughter’s school has banned him from campus for more than a year, illegally punishing him for raising objections to classroom lessons about Islam. Now he’s gone to court for help, asking a judge to remove the ban so he can watch his daughter graduate from high school.

“She’s in the final semester of her senior year, and as it stands right now, she’s going to have to go through that life experience without her dad there,” said Kate Oliveri, a lawyer from the Michigan-based Thomas More Law Center who is representing the Wood family explained to The Washington Post.

The dispute started back in October of 2014. Here’s part of the original report from America’s Freedom Fighters:

John Kevin Wood, who served eight years in the Marine Corps and his wife, Melissa are suing the public school system in Maryland for promoting Islam over every other religion. When they discovered that their daughter’s World History class at La Plata High School was circulating assignments that amounted to Islamic propaganda they filed a suit in U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland against the school for violating her Constitutional rights.

Here’s an example of one of the assignments which implies that Muslim faith is stronger than Christian faith- unbelievable.

The students are forced to quote the Koran, learn about the Five Pillars of Islam, being forced to recite the Islamic “Shahada” which states, “There is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is the messenger of Allah.” When recited by non-Muslims, it is considered to be the first step toward conversion to Islam.

According to the Washington Free Beacon,

The class also spent one day covering Christianity, while teachers devoted two weeks to instructing about Islam.

Upon learning of the lessons prioritizing Islam, Wood, who is Christian, contacted the school and demanded alternative assignments for his daughter. The school refused to allow his daughter to opt out of the assignments and threatened her with failing grades if they were not completed. She elected not to complete the worksheets.

The complaint filed Wednesday charges that the school discriminated against Wood’s daughter “by removing her from the academic environment of her World History class, relegating her to the student library, and issuing her failing grades on assignments because [she] refused to deny and insult her Christian beliefs.”

Following Wood’s complaints, the school principal also banned him from entering school grounds.

The president and chief counsel of the Thomas More Law Center warned that schools across the nation are forcing such “Islamic indoctrination.”

“Parents must be ever vigilant to the Islamic indoctrination of their children under the guise of teaching history and multiculturalism. This is happening in public schools across the country. And they must take action to stop it,” Richard Thompson, the law firm’s president, said in a statement.

Last month, and as his daughter’s graduation grew nearer, Woods finally fired back by filing a lawsuit against the school on the basis that officials there had violated his daughter’s civil and constitutional rights.

“The First Amendment prohibits the promotion of the religion of Islam over other faiths, such as Christianity or Judaism, in our public schools,” the complaint reportedly read.

So as it stands, this man, who served eight years in the Marine Corps is being punished by a Muslim loving, liberal school. They are banning a hero from seeing one of the most precious moments in his life, seeing his daughter get her diploma for all of her hard work. For WHAT?

All this to please fricking Muslims. This is totally unacceptable and I pray to GOD that this school district gets sued for MILLIONS OF DOLLARS!
