Hillary Clinton, aided and abetted by the leftist media, has been spinning the narrative that Donald Trump is some sort of evil genius capable of completely circumventing tax laws and getting away without prosecution, but their entire narrative just got thrown in the dumpster by Trump’s former accountant.

Jack Mitnick was Trump’s accountant all of the way up until 1996, which means he prepared the tax returns illegally obtained by the New York Times. That year, according to the returns, Trump was able to claim nearly a billion dollars in losses, which sent the leftist media into a frenzy as they accompanied Hillary in admonishing Trump for daring to follow the laws that Hillary could have changed as a Senator but didn’t.

However, there’s one massive issue with their contrived narrative.

Mitnick appeared on NBC News on Wednesday for an interview about Trump’s tax practices from the 90s, as if they’re the most important issue facing our nation, and he dropped a nuke on both Hillary and the leftist media’s narrative that Trump’s actions were somehow unethical or immoral.

“As far as I know, and that only goes through late ’96, he didn’t (have the expertise to manipulate the tax code),” Mitnick said, before later adding that “Those returns were entirely created by us.”

Did you catch that? Back in the 90s, Trump was still learning about tax laws so he had to hire Mitnick to prepare his taxes for him. In other words, all of this contrived garbage that Trump personally screwed the government and Trump acted immorally is exactly that – contrived garbage.

Mitnick, like every other accountant on the planet, has a professional responsibility to reduce your tax burden as much as he possibly can. That’s what accountants do, that’s why they spend years in school learning the laws, and that’s why people hire them – they know the loopholes everyone can use to pay as little as possible to the government, which wastes money faster than a drunken sailor at a whore house.

Besides, as the left continues to beat up on Trump over following the laws that are in place, they’re completely overlooking the fact that Hillary did the exact same thing using the exact same loophole, putting their hypocrisy on full display once again.
