Look at this! Several Democrats joined Republicans in the Senate in rejecting Sen. Bernie Sanders’ (I-VT) effort to raise the minimum wage to $15 an hour.

And there are some pissed off Dems LMAO!?

Breitbart reports that while the Senate parliamentarian ruled that the $15 minimum wage hike could not be included in the $1.9 trillion coronavirus relief measure, Sanders, as well as his far-left allies, attempted to pave a way to make the hike a reality.

Seven Democrats, as well as an independent who caucuses with the Democrats, joined Republicans in rejecting the effort on Friday. Those include Sens. Joe Manchin (D-WV),  Jon Tester (D-MT), Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH), Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ), Maggie Hassan (D-NH), Chris Coons (D-DE), Tom Carper (D-DE),  and Angus King (I-ME).

It seems some politicians and anyone who thinks raising the minimum wage to $15 an hour, have a severe lack of understanding of inflation.

If the government had passed this proposal, then businesses have to make up for their profit loss by upping the price of products.

There is not one state in our country where you can make ends meet on the current federal minimum wage. Not one! How quickly would Congress raise the minimum wage if they were forced to live on $7.25 an hour? Outrageous.

Socialism does not work, well it works until citizens money runs out and the government cannot keep up with the free hand-outs.

The democrats that are throwing temper tantrums just cannot seem to grasp economics and what our nation is actually going through.

I will never stop fighting to make the minimum wage a living wage.

Really? So is the government going to create laws to keep the cost of living the same while boosting minimum wage?  Nope and that could be their exact intent, to force people to be reliant on government funds to ensure they have a subservient populace.

We all know that our nation is in crisis with the cost of living but instead of addressing the actual issues, the democrats were trying to create an even deeper crisis.

“It is despicable and unacceptable that there is not unanimous support among Democrats in Congress for a $15 minimum wage,” Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) remarked as other Democrat lawmakers and pundits expressed similar sentiments across social media:

The issues go down a rabbit hole that people just cannot seem to grasp.  Minimum wage was supposed to be for those entering the work force, such as high school students who want part-time jobs.

But as the cost of living has more than doubled since 2012 when the government passed 7.25 an hour, there are far more people in the U.S. that live below the middle class line.

Breitbart continued,

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), a champion of raising the minimum wage, said last week that a $15 wage is actually a “deep, deep compromise” for Democrats.

“Any person who thinks that a $15 minimum wage is the ‘crazy socialist agenda’ is living in a dystopian capitalist nightmare. And we should not prop that up. We should not continue that,” she said during an appearance on The Mehdi Hasan Show.

“Because when you take the minimum wage from several decades ago and you actually account for inflation and productivity gains to today, it should be $24 an hour,” she added.

As hard as it is to believe, AOC is correct on inflation and cost of living but the actual issues that should be addressed start with education availability for our children.

This is a difficult issue and one way over my pay grade on finding a solution, but it makes logical sense that if our educational systems were balanced and provided the same logistics and curriculums then children would be able to strive for better employment opportunities.

Life should not be about being a zombie drone working 40 plus hours a week to pay bills and to barely keep afloat paycheck-to-paycheck.

Citizens are suffering, homelessness is on the rise and our healthcare system is out of control, but hey I guess making things worse will make them all better, well according to the democrats.
